Njabs Dladla, an accomplished Show Caller, recently made history at the 2024 Directors Event by being the first in South Africa to both create the content and run the entire event. He meticulously crafted a comprehensive 33-page script and developed all screen content, ensuring a seamless production. His direction extended to managing the production side, with the event's MC being Gugulethu Mfuphi, a renowned business and finance presenter.

The Directors Event featured several pivotal panels:

Humanizing AI in South Africa for Economic Growth: This panel emphasized prioritizing human well-being, inclusivity, and sustainable development. Strategies discussed included investing in skills development, implementing ethical AI frameworks, community engagement, job creation, using AI for social impact, data privacy, fostering collaboration, and improving digital infrastructure. The goal was to leverage AI for job creation, innovation, and improved quality of life, ensuring equitable benefit distribution. This panel was moderated by Gugulethu Mfuphi.

Building a Better Working South Africa through Collaboration and Partnerships: This discussion focused on the essential roles of government, the private sector, and businesses in establishing meaningful public-private partnerships. Emphasizing open communication, policy alignment, and innovation, the panel explored ways to prioritize social welfare, job creation, and economic growth. Alishia Seckam, a financial journalist with over 15 years of experience, moderated the panel.

Combating Poverty in South Africa and Fostering Inclusivity: Addressing the multifaceted nature of poverty, this panel advocated for promoting economic growth, job creation, education, skills development, and social protection programs. Critical steps included infrastructure development, land reform policies, and the empowerment of marginalized groups. The panel was moderated by Nastassia Arendse, a veteran broadcaster with 13 years of experience in television and radio, known for her work on CNBC Africa's Closing Bell East Africa and Open Exchange.
